If you’re an engineering major who was, or still is, part of the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), this one-of-a-kind internship opportunity is for you!

FIRST means "For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology" and that’s what this exciting internship program is all about. By working together, UTC and FIRST are motivating young people to pursue career opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). The UTC FIRST internship program will offer select individuals the chance to extend their competition experience with hands-on work at UTC, in one of the following functional areas:

  • Acoustics/Avionics
  • Aerospace
  • Chemical
  • Computer/Software
  • Electrical
  • Fire Protection
  • Industrial
  • Manufacturing/Process/Quality
  • Material Science
  • Mechanical
  • Systems

Partnering with FIRST combines UTC's focus on innovation with its dedication to STEM education. Since 1995, UTC has contributed more than $3 million to the FIRST Robotics Competition in an effort to inspire a new generation of scientists and engineers. Applicant Qualifiers

  • College students majoring in Engineering
  • Students that were, or are still part of the FIRST Robotics Competition
