Coordinates the completion of department or cell policy deployment objectives through management of shop personnel. Acts as a liaison between team members and support personnel, such as Engineers, Buyer/Planners, and Team Leaders. Ensures customer commitments are met by following quality control procedures, EH&S best practices, UTAS ethical guidelines, and lean manufacturing principles. Duties included: Hiring and coaching employees; developing and implementing employee training plans within and across manufacturing cells; managing local CI to-do lists; coordinating implementation and providing feedback to employees; and support and follow all rules/guidelines, standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as set by the position and leader. Also all other duties as assigned.

Associates/Technical degree - Business, Manufacturing, Engineering or related field 2+ years progressive experience in the field or related area. Strong CI foundation in lean or Six Sigma. Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication, problem analysis, potential problem identification and analysis, and decision making and planning. Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels of the organization. Ability to communicate effectively in a written format. Ability to work independently with little direct supervision.
