LOCATION: Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania
The Risk Management Office (RMO) is responsible for the delivery of a professional Logistic Security service to the client. The primary responsibility of the RMO is to identify `Symptoms of Loss¿ and report policy and procedural non-compliance that contravene client Freight Security Requirements (FSR). This will be executed through daily interaction with client Logistic Service Providers (LSP) and their brokered Carriers. The RMO is expected to display a great deal of initiative and employ a common sense approach to their duties.
The Risk Management Officer is a valuable service to the client organization through their ability to change the perception and behavior of the organization¿s employees and third party Logistic Service Providers (LSP). The RMO will undertake varying roles to provide the client with visibility on security deficiencies within their distribution sector.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
¿ Be thoroughly familiar and conversant with all rules, regulations and procedures contained in the Standard Operation Procedures of the Client, as it pertains to their logistic security program and all policies and procedures of FreightWatch International, (USA), Inc.
¿ Be thoroughly familiar with the current logistic process of the client and aware of the operations of all Freight Forwarders, Carriers and their Sub-Contractors
¿ Maintain excellent working relationships with ALL client representatives and Carriers used by the client in the conduct of the logistic process
¿ Must be able to communicate with our customer¿s carriers and law enforcement officials as the situation requires, must be able to remain calm and on task in the event of actual criminal activity, and must be able to create incident reports about such events
¿ Be prepared and personally organized for short notice and/or immediate deployment on extended security escorts/risk management escorts as directed by FWI management.
¿ On clients¿ behalf, observe, note and report the behavior of all drivers during the conduct of shipments on designated lanes.
¿ Prepare and submit all reports in a legible manner as required.
¿ Be familiar with the operation of all FWI issued specialized equipment such as radios, surveillance cameras and digital camcorders.
¿ Ensure that inventory of all items under the employee¿s jurisdiction is recorded and accounted for and presented to their supervisor on an as requested basis
¿ All scheduled maintenance on company owned vehicle will be maintained by the individual. Prior to performing ANY maintenance on a vehicle, the employee¿s supervisor must be notified
¿ Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
High School diploma or equivalent
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:
¿ 2+ years experience in security or logistics
¿ 25 years or older is a MUST due to rental car and insurance requirements
¿ Extensive travel required
¿ MUST be able to drive for long distances (up to 200 miles) and spend time out on the road
¿ Minimum of five (5) years driving
¿ Must have a current valid drivers' license
¿ Proficiency with MS Office Suite
¿ Ability to navigate a web interface
¿ Ability to work well as part of a team in an ever-changing environment
¿ Willing to work on changing shifts
