How is UTC working towards having the best educated workforce on the planet?
UTC believes that while no one can guarantee a job forever, we can ensure a future for all of our employees. And the best way to do that is by giving them an education they can use for a lifetime. Under the Employee Scholar Program, UTC pays the costs for employees, both in the United States and internationally, who go back to school.

What is diversity at UTC?
As a global family of businesses, with nearly 215,000 employees in 180 countries speaking over 30 languages and sharing unique cultures and beliefs, UTC truly exemplifies how workforce diversity enhances achievements in both business and in our communities.
At UTC, diversity is valuing the differences of all employees to create an inclusive workplace, which ultimately contributes to the development of the best people, products, services, and solutions. Diversity is about recognizing and respecting each person's unique perspective, competencies, and attributes.
UTC realizes its employees divide their time between work and home, and are often faced with stressful situations that require juggling work and home responsibilities.
LifeWorks is a comprehensive resource and referral program designed to give UTC employees practical solutions, information, and support with everyday issues, including personal finance, parenting, elder care, education, health, work and career questions, emotional well-being, and more.
Flexible work arrangements also offer employees tools to manage the changing dynamics of how they work. These arrangements can include, but are not limited to: flex time, compressed workweeks, and telecommunication. The arrangement that may best fit your unique situation may vary.
Tell me about the Employee Network Groups at UTC.
With Diversity as one of our core values, UTC seeks to promote and obtain maximum value of diversity across a widely dispersed workforce. Employee Network Groups (ENGs) provide our employees the opportunity to become more fully engaged through sharing common interests, expectations and contributions.
The ENGs have a collective mission of supporting UTC’s recruitment, development and retention efforts through facilitated discussions, workshops, and events that promote personal/professional development, community involvement and business value. In addition, they serve to advance the development and visibility of their constituencies through various activities and are pivotal in building a sense of community and engagement for our employees.
UTC has more than 30 Employee Network Group chapters representing a variety of employee groups. Membership is open to all, regardless of background. The ENGs span across the various operating businesses, they include the following:
African American Forum

Finance Women's Forum
Hispanic / Latino Leadership Forum
L.A.U.N.C.H (Local Area UTC Network for
College Hires)
